Is there an eave that is dripping on the steps? If so a gutter should fix that. Or even a rain diverter that would mount on the roof and cause the water/drips to go around that area.

Hi Karen. You can put sand on them for traction. If you don't want to use sand you can purchase pet friendly ice melt too.
