Last Christmas I gave my neighbors caddies filled with their favorite beverages. It was fun and easy to make, plus it made everyone smile when they received it!

I started off with a 4 foot fence board. You can make 1 caddy per 4’ board! First, I sanded the board, then cut it into the 5 pieces. See photo for dimensions.

These dimensions fit a six pack beverage container. You could also use just about any left over wood you might have but I found the fence board width to be perfect and you only have to make a few cuts.

Taking the side pieces, I drilled 1/2 “ hole to accommodate the rope that will become the handle. I also angled the sides at the top but you could leave them straight if you wanted. I just think it looks better with the angle.

Using wood glue, I attached the sides to the bottom.

Then I used my nail gun to make them more secure.

Next, I attached the sides using the same method.

I then put the rope through the holes and tied off the ends. Not shown, but very useful, was a bottle opener on one of the side pieces.

Some of my neighbors like wine, so I added a small board in the middle and voila, it’s a wine caddie!

Here are a few of the ones I made. Using my Cricut machine, I made stencils to personalize them. We get together often and my neighbors bring these to carry their beverages. It always makes me smile to see they are being used.

Instead of beverages they could also hold towels in the bathroom, or be a small tool box caddy, etc. The possibilities are endless!

They look awesome! Great instructions. Wonder if you could buy the dog ear fence boards to eliminate the two angle cuts at the top?
