How can I cover the inset of my oak cabinets?

I have oak cabinets and doors now with frame around an inset (some of which have cracked). What can I use to cover the inset but keep the oak frame? I would rather not have the expense of replacing the whole door.

You can use wood filler for the crack or a wax filler the color of the wood. If you want to paint, don't do the wax.

The wood panel floats snuggly within the frame. You can try to push the cracked panels together and wood glue them together. Also use Minwax Wood Putty to fill in the cracks. comes in all wood tones. You can use woodgrain contact paper to cover the panels.

I agree with Kelli, a wood filler matching your oak cabinets should solve it. If you decide to paint your cabinets, here is a video that can help. https://youtu.be/Ko5CsLqNIZQ

    I would consider painting it.
