Have an old crib in storage? One that has sentimental attachment that you just can seem to get rid of? Turn it into a cute entry way bench! Check out how we transformed our old crib into a distressed beauty for our entry way (plus there's space for storage!)

This was our crib, it had many years of history!

Three kiddos slept in it. icon But now it was time for it's new life!

We first removed the front panel and base of the crib.

We used the side panels as the back of the bench. We drilled and then screwed them together. We made a frame out of 4x4s for legs and 2x4s for the bench top.

Next we added sides as arm rails and slats under the bench for shoe grab and go storage.

We then painted it with some white chalk paint and then distressed it.

Lastly we we put a layer of minwax polycrylic on it to seal and protect it.

Finished project, complete with distressed look. It's a pretty simple process, and look at that- a brand new storage bench!
