How to prevent rust accumulating on shower floor?

Rust has begun to accumulate on the the floor of my shower and especially on the porcelain tiles surrounding the shower's floor. What do I purchase to seal the area, and what will remove the rust? I've used CLR, and the suggested hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, but nothing has been successful. HELP! and thanks.

No. The floor area where the tile meet it: The tiles seem to be pulling away. There are hairline cracks there.

Try wet & forget shower. It's a no scrub formula that cleans and prevents build up as well. You apply it weekly and it works slowly but it does work. Check out the video on QVC. Also available at Lowe's and walmart.com.

I've never heard of Iron Out but i will try it to remove the rust. What do I use to seal the tile so moisture does not seep in?

Did your floor have a waterpfoof underlayment installed before the tiles were installed? It sounds as though the base layer was insufficient for the tiling.

Is your floor sufficiently sloped toward your drain?

Try removing any water after showers with a squeegee, followed by a soft microfiber cloth to remove all water from the floor tiles. Run your bathroom exhaust fan for at least 20 minutes after showers. Dry walls and ceilings of all moisture. If you use plastic shower curtains, change them to a fabric type, with a fabric, water resistent liner that can be thrown over the rod, if needed, to hasten drying of shower area.

The floor is fine. The tiles were done approximately one and a half years ago. The rust is where the 3 walls of tile meet the bottom of the shower.
