From a Burn Pile Mess to a White Bedroom Sanctuary for Less

I desired to try my hand at creating a white bedroom, but didn't have any furniture on hand other than a simple bed frame. Turns out all I needed was a gate from the dump, an old door from a neighbour's burn pile, and an old vintage dresser and rusty gate from an estate sale.
This accumulation of broken down junk created a free bedroom sanctuary even a cat would love!
Now to get him to move over...
This bedroom, which I jokingly deemed "White Trash", was a compilation of one big mess. Brought all together, it created a little white retreat!
The before... ugh. New paint but no life whatsoever.
Desiring a unique headboard, an old door from a burn pile and a gate from the dump married a sheet of clad metal siding from someone's farm. Would my crazy idea work?
A rusty old headboard created the perfect frame for these antique mirrors. LOTS of layers is the key.
Desiring a shabby lampshade, this shade cover was made from torn cotton material right on top of an exsisting shade. No glue, no sewing!
Let's add some other junky detail, such as a pallet beam with jars acting as candle votives along the window sill.
The secret to a dreamy bed is 'the messy look.' I even give lessons. There's a knack to making a mess it appears! :)
Prettiest looking trash ever, don't you think? Visit even more details at the blog link below.
