How do I identify this bug?

I see this beetle all the time in my garden and don't know if it's beneficial, neutral, or bad. Anyone know what it is?
Is it the size of lady bug??? There are gray ones Ashy Gray Lady Beetle & Beneficial; I can't see it really well do you have other pics from top maybe?
Cucumber beetle. Inspect newly planted cucurbit plants for the presence of this beetle; be watchful when plants are seedlings.

Knock beetles to the ground and catch them with a piece of cardboard placed under the plant. They are not beneficial. Garden organically....it's that simple !!
Not sure what insect this is as I cannot see it's mouth parts.
If it's a ladybird all is good as they will eat aphids, if it's something not so good, getting the balance right in your garden will allow nature to take care of it. Preditors will come in, birds and other insects to keep all in check.
Keep good garden hygiene, clear up dead plants and dead and dying foliage that might host eggs
Sticky traps will 'trap' all insects...good and bad !!...please don't resort to chemicals x
