I like a good CLEAR fast trying epoxy glue .. like E6000 for glass/glass application ... and it supports heavy weight ...
just draw the pattern you want on the REVERSE side of the glass .... lay the window flat,
(be sure the glazing ( caulk, etc.) that holds the glass in the frame is secure!)
Apply the glue to the 'gem' and place it on the glass.
leave window laying flat for a day/two,
hang -- but it will be much heavier -- be sure it's supported securely!
