Hi Diannna! One method would be with adhesive paper or film.
Your have to prep for paint and do a faux finish. I'd do the oil based method for durability and ease of flow.
Hi Dianna, Hope your having a wonderful day. Here is a site for you to check out on how to paint a faux marble finish. I think it would be one of the most inexpensive ways to do it.

The other method would be drop the color and pull, drop another color and pull. Swirling the colors round. Once done, level with epoxy.
HI Diannna,
I'm Linda and I've done the marble technique on a table that I was updating. It's basically a painting technique that is pretty easy. It just takes some time. There are countertop paint kits by Giani (and I think Rustoleum too) if you want to go that route, but you can also do it with paint - a latex base coat, craft paint and a sealer. Here's a tutorial from Family Handyman that shows the technique. I suggest practicing on scrap wood or other material until you are comfortable with the process. Wishing you the best.
