Hi if you go to Home depot you can buy them already cut. .the price of lumber would not be that much difference. .
Either Lowes or Home Depot carry these, much easier solution for the same amount of money.
Not sure if the treads are deep enough . But you might check out wood pet stairs. This one has storage .

My son purchased a 43 ft. 5th wheel trailer last summer. I am only 5' 3" tall and can't even think about getting into any of the top shelves in the kitchen or bathroom. I purchased a light weight aluminum step stool. They have them in three and four steps. Check out places like Home Depot, Menards, etc. In the long run, it would be easier to store something that folds up, than making something with permanent steps. I store mine under the bed (hydraulic lift), of on the kitchen floor when we are moving it. I hope this helps you, Meliki!
