I think this is what you have in mind--

Betty I remember that post but can’t find it myself.

I recall making a mold of a small bowl

inside a larger one. Fill the space inbetween with water and weigh down the smaller bowl

    with something heavy. Being careful

to not push all the water out. Freeze and enjoy your candle mold.

Betty this is a simple 'Bowl in Bowl' or 'Votive in Bowl' how to project. Just pour water around the Inside Bowl or Votive Candle, then Freeze. Your best bet is to find some of your Tupperware Small and Large.

I know how to do this as I used to make something exactly like this when I was in my 20s: Dave's 1990's Future Beer Can Holder. I used to call them 'Polish Coasters', cuz that is what they are indoors. As, They make mess more than the drink itself without a coaster. Eventually I slightly improved on the Idea with Saran Wrap and Reynolds Wrap.

Idea as yet more messy than Ordinary Coasters or Napkins, really was not an improved Good Idea...

    Same Principle as:

Pour water around the Can placed inside a small container from Grocery Potato Salad, add Ice so the Water Freezes Faster than the Beer and Freeze

    Applies here.

Likely you can make your Candle Holder by Same: Get an empty Coke Can or Styrofoam Cup, put it in a Soup Bowl, add ice, water, then Freeze, remove the can or cup and place the Candle where the cup was.

Very easy once you do it once.

I tried to find the post for you, but no luck. Here's a video that might help though - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFLcprjcUiU
