There you go, you just answered your own question. Those bulbs are great in a pinch, but are cheaply mass produced and not quality. You could go through dozens of them - keep a few on hand for emergencies. Head on over to a hardware, home improvement center or light bulb store and pick up one of the newer light bulbs that will last years and not weeks. See if these help.

It may be the way you screw in the bulb. I got this tip from an electrician years ago. I always thought you screwed bulbs in all the way until they are tight. Wrong. I noticed many of my light bulbs going out too often.

I agree with Naomie and William. They have described the most common causes. A true short circuit would cause your breaker to trip. One other thing you can check is the wire connections on your wall switch. If they have come loose, that could be the source of your problem. Most likely cheap bulbs with thin filaments or the socket itself.

What type of light bulbs are you using?
Are they the old kind- incandescent? Could be the bulbs. I got a whole box that was bad. If not you have a short in the fixture.
