How to stop cat from spraying. .?

We have two male cats staying in garage at night. .the stray white one has been here three years. .he is starting to spray on different things in garage. .bought two different litters pans new one hasn't been used yet. .every other night it is something different he sprays. .the odor is getting bad in there. .any suggestions ? Thanks. .

They are marking their territory. 2 male cats in the same space, it is gonna happen. Each one tries to cover the other cats scent. Are they neutered? Why are they in the garage? Is the garage heated?
Even neutering may not stop this habit. You may need to make a choice between your cats as to which one stays and which gets a new home.
Cats spray for many different reasons(sickness,stress,territorial,breeding) but he's likely started because of stress due to other cats invading his space.Do they have outside access? Throw out everything they have peed on if you can it's ruined and start spraying with neutralizers. get some Feliway Multi-cat( not Feliway-synthetic )pheromones that "might" help(not the collars), it provides pheromones from cats so they don't feel need to spray theirs everywhere.
Try neutering as a first step. There are many organizations that do it for low costs or free if that's an issue. There are calming diffusers that plug into the wall too. I don't have male cats but it significantly helped our fussing cats. I believe there are also sprays. It is very thoughtful and kind of you to care for a stray.
Sorry you are having problems with cats spraying. You can trap neuter and release back and that will help. Spraying is more in non neutered cats. Bless you for giving them a place to stay. You can call Ferrell cat society in your area and often they will do it for free and you can get traps (will not hurt them) loaned to you for catching them.
