How can I get rid of mold around the base board of my walls?

Dampen the moldy wall and baseboard prior to contact or removal in order to minimize the spread of spores once the mold is disturbed.

Create a solution with hot water and a non-ammonia detergent. Prepare the solution according to the cleaner manufacturer's instructions.

Scrub the mold off of the wall and baseboard using a sponge, rag, scrub brush or combination of cleaning tools.

Prepare a bleach solution that is no more than 10% bleach. The remainder of the solution should consist of cool water.

Apply the bleach solution to the area from which the mold was removed. Treat an area that extends beyond where the visible mold was to ensure that all possible mold is treated. Allow the bleach solution to stay on the wall for 10 to 15 minutes.

Dry the bleached area quickly. Direct fans toward the damp area to increase air circulation and use a wet/dry shop vacuum, if available.

Hello Cynthia! It is important to figure out why are you getting mold around your baseboards. Usually there is a moisture problem that needs to be addressed first so the mold doesn't keep occurring. Mold in a home can be a very unhealthy. You can begin cleaning by using warm water and vinegar--about 50:50 mix. I would wear gloves and even a face mask. The vinegar will help kill the mold.

My name is Linda and I was going to answer exactly as Gk did to your question. Vinegar is the best way to get rid of surface mold. However, it is important to have it checked to make sure it's not coming from inside the walls or underneath the floor. That can be dangerous. If it's not a lot, try the vinegar, but if it comes back, definitely call in the professionals. Good luck!
