Vanity Makeover

Our bathroom had a builder's grade vanity that was functional, but not much to look at. I am stuck with the blue vanity topper for now, but these pictures show a much improved facade.
You will simply have to imagine the original-framed panel doors, light oak finish that was worn and dirty. Used lath strips to create a slatted look and then framed out with screen door molding (hey, it is cheap).. Framed the drawers and from panel in the same way. Used oil based primer and high gloss paint on the cabinets. The flooring is going to go...eventually...and I haven't finished painting the baseboards.
Added an applique to the center panel in front for an extra bit of detail.
I love the knobs! They just make the whole piece, IMO.

Knobs: $24 (Hobby Lobby) Trim: Had the slats in my shed, the molding ran be about $12 Paint: 1/2 quart each of oil based primer and high gloss white $14 (half the actual cost, remaining paint used elsewhere) Time- Fitting the slats, sanding them out and mitering the trim, took me about 4 hours, but I was working at a relaxed pace. Beyond that, what takes time is allowing for the oil to dry thoroughly between coats, so these twelve hours are stretched out over several days.
