I just did that this week! I bought a bottle of “Navel Jelly” at Walmart to remove the rust. So so easy! Used heavy rubber gloves bought there, brushed it on half of the iron table, waited 5-10min as directed, then sprayed it off w/ water! ( I did this outside on a warm day). Then repeated process to complete. Spray painted & now thrilled!

Very happy for you, but think of all those toxic chemicals that went onto the lawn and into the ground. Not good for the environment and birds and pets. Could even seep into your well! All I do is use a very fine sand paper inside the house, wipe the object with a rag and sweep up the dust, then put the rag and dust in your waste .

Thanks, however there are small areas I can’t get sandpaper in. This is one of those Meadowcraft table and chair sets.

  • I scraped off as much of the rust as possible with a metal brush and then I sealed the rest with Rustoleum rust sealer. Then I painted my table set. Spray paint it probably your best bet.

You could try a small rasp tool to get Inthe areas sandpaper can't reach. I used spray paint to paint.

Use regular coke a cola it removes rust I would use a wire brush rinse and lightly sand down rinse again let dry completely before spray painting with restrolum
