Shirley...You can Google and see several different ways but we made years ago and used six wire hangers putting two together with hanger part inside and straight bottom as side. One bent part of the hanger will be your top and other will be legs seeing the tree shape. The next two will go inside first two then last two inside that. I attached mine together with tie wraps. You should have six legs and all the top will be six other ends all together. Wrap string lights around and attach with tie wraps. Final step is wrapping whatever color garland around the tree you choose. We never added ornaments or anything because it was so pretty with lights shining through. Please Google as video shows each step far better than I can explain. You can also use pipe cleaners to attach hangers and lights. Hope you enjoy.

Shirley, Bend the metal hangers in the shape of a tree. You can put wrapping paper around or a foil that's solid color. Try red or green. Aloha!
