      I mean really: Brand New Switch, Brand new Wires, No sign of Any Corrosion atall on either of the terminal screws. No Dust Bunnies at all in the box. WOW. It even has the 3rd Wire, Secondary Ground already Tied into the Panel Box. Don't put this switch back into the wall, Put this switch in the Smithsonian. It's One Of A Kind...

    Hi Karen,. If you don't know about wiring, get someone who does. I wouldn't begin to tell you I'm not an electrician. You need to connect the wires back together, as they were, or you could have a short.

    Karen, my husband is not a certified electrician but he had training in electricity and generators etc in the Army and does all of the small things in our home. However, you really should have a certified electrician do yours if you have not been trained. If cost is an obstacle, perhaps someone in your church or neighborhood is a handyman or electrician and could barter to do it for you in exchange of you doing something of similar time or value for them. We have often bartered with folks and traded such projects to save us all money. Perhaps you have a skill they could use even if it was cleaning once for them or something?

    If you know nothing about electrics, call in a qualified Electrician to do the job for you and watch what he does.

    Karen, Changing a switch, you need to know what wires go where. Find someone you know, but don't do it yourself. You can Google it "how to change a light switch". Aloha
