How do you fix a water stain on a teak table?
It is a small spot but in a very obvious place. We were planning on having people over and this spot just seems to stand out. That is all that I see on the table. The spot is no bigger than a finger print and is very light but still noticeable. How do I fix that before Christmas without redoing the whole table.

Hi Gisele,
My name is Linda. I've successfully used the iron method on an old wood table where I worked. However, there are other ideas, as well. Read this article and find the other ideas at the bottom. A lot of people say that the mayonnaise fix works well. You might want to try that first. :) Good luck & wishing you the best.

There are several commercial products for this type damage. A lot of people rub the spot with a waxy or oily product. I have read to use a walnut or a mixture of vinegar and olive oil. Anyway, just google how to remove water spot on wood,
No one will notice or care. If they do, they are not good friends if something like this matters. Use a tablecloth, runner, placemats, table decor to hide. Then address the issue when a time crunch is not looming in the future.
Thank you all for your helpful tips. I used a steam iron on a cotton cloth and you cannot even tell there was a water spot on the table. Once again thank you. Both times you have been very helpful in answering my questions or changing my opinion.
