You can use a flexible adhesive and painters tape to hold the seam together while the glue dries. E6000 glue should work.

This is going to be a tough one if you cannot take the cover off. You will need to stretch the vinyl and use a darning needle and get as close to the binding as you can and make small stitches.

Will any of the stuffing come out to create a little wiggle room? Will a hair dryer heat help to make the vinyl a little more supple to stretch a bit? Just throwing out ideas. This could be frustrating,I am sure!

Hi Fran, find some fabric you love that will go with the color that's on there, you will need batting. Trace the top and add 1/2 inch seam allowance for the fabric to go past the piping edge, now cut your batting to the edge of the piping, don't add a seam allowance, you want the batting to sit at the inside of the piping. Tape the torn vinyl down so it is flat. Smooth out your batting and material lay it on top now tuck the extra material under the batting to the edge of the piping and sew it to the piping adjust the material as you sew. Hope this helps.

I had the exact same problem! I bought 2 beach towels ( blue) and cut one the size of the circle, I placed it on top and with a marker made a circle and then cut it. I then measured the the width and height. I made it much taller . I sewed it and then put elastic on bottom edge so I can remove it weekly and wash it!
