How do I organize a bulging craft room?

What about a tall cabinet with shelves? Here's a link to mine:

I would get large drawer style bins to store and organize like items together.

Rocks, marbles, and coins could be stored in mason jars (that way you can still see them through the glass when they're stored away on a shelf).

I'm planning on getting a large, metal shelf on wheels from Costco ( similar to this). DIY materials, like pencils, pom-poms, letter board letters, paint brushes, etc. are going to be stored in Mason jars, and other, bulkier items like hot glue guns, scissors, rolls of twine, etc. are going to be in small, clear, plastic totes.

I think as long as you have some sort of shelving system and utilize storage containers, you should be able to organize things quite easily and nicely!

My hint may be different from the others, But keep your own room and have your grand-daughter help you organize your things, after all she moved in with you( get the drift), and do you actually use or need all that stuff, keep what you really love and those things that have wonderful memories, take photos of the rest, just saying. Think about getting some bed risers, which will raise your bed about 6 inches, if you're bed is a full-size or smaller. I think for a larger bed, you might not be able to use them. They're sold in places like Bed, Bath & Beyond--college kids use them all the time to help expand their storage area in tiny dorm rooms. Then you would have a much bigger space under the bed to store some plastic bins (clear, so you can see what's in them).

Otherwise, get a bunch of those large, kind of flat under-bed boxes for stuff you want to store/hide away. The prettier stuff can be out in view, stored however you choose.
