Can you cut some card, right names then cover with clear sticky back fabric. Then use safety pins stuck on the back, first with glue onto the closed side of the pin. Then add tape on top for extra strength.

I safety pin taped on to a laminated name card will work great.

You can purchase pin backs. They can be sewn or glued on. They also have ones with adhesive backs .

You can purchase them at most of the craft stores, Walmart, etc. I add them to felt ornaments to make Christmas corsages/pins that I use as gifts/package decorations. If you don't want to make them you can buy them at the Dollar store. Would make really cute name tags.
