What kind of poly or spray to you professionally put on stairs?
We are redoing our stairs sanding them down then adding stain. The polys that ate out there our not what I call nice painting on or spray I have tried both do not like how it looks is there anything anybody would know that would create a smooth finish??? Helpppp

Varethane is one of the best. A satin finish. It's pricey, but excellent.
I use poly on a lot of wood. We use a foam brush and put on thin coats and it looks smooth with no brush marks. Don't go over the area a lot, it could cause bubbles.
