I removed mine and scrubbed with SOS pad. It was hard work but it came off. Before I got to that point, I sprayed with a heavy duty cleaner for grills which helped to loosen the baked on mess I inherited.

I take mine out on the back porch and spray them with oven cleaner and leave them all night. Then I spray them off with the hose and there is very little cleaning needs done on them with Brillo pads. Hope this helps Phil

For standard cleaning, use a soapy sponge and hot water to wipe the racks. For stubborn messes, soak oven racks in hot water, dish soap, and a couple scoops of baking soda. Let the racks soak in this mixture for 15 to 30 minutes before scrubbing clean with a soft sponge.

  • I've used a plastic garbage bag, placed the racks in them, poured in a bit of ammonia and let them sit overnight. Cleaned them right up with minimal effort.

  • Wipe the racks with hot water and a soapy sponge for general cleaning. Soak oven racks in hot water with dish soap and a few scoops of baking soda to tackle tough problems. After soaking in this combination for 15 to 30 minutes, use a soft sponge to scrub the racks clean.
