How do I screw into plasterboard and tongue & groove wall?

I have plasterboarded over tongue and groove. Behind the tongue and groove is a solid wall. I want to fit floating shelves and want to know what fixing is best to use. Thanks

Hi, what are you hanging? if you use very long screws and you should be able to hang almost anything, tongue and groove is quite tough.

Hi Allister. I'm Cindy. Use wood screws for this project. They will easily go through the plaster board and they will grab on to the tongue and groove very well. You should pre-drill your holes with a very small drill bit so that the tongue and groove doesn't crack. Good luck Allister.
