If you're anything like me with an abundance of great intentions in July...and "Oh, no! It's only 2 weeks until Christmas!" going on now, don't despair...here's a super quick wreath project that will deck your halls in just 15 minutes!

I adore boxwood wreaths. They're so bright, classic, but...let's face it - plain!

I ordered a couple from Amazon not long after we bought our home with these great French doors in our dining room. They were the perfect accent and look great all year long, but for Christmas, they need a bit more flair.

This is the third year I've dressed them up, and this has got to be the easiest way ever to quickly dress up a plain wreath for the holiday season.

I save the material year after year and can literally put them back together in about 5 minutes - 15, tops, if I'm making fresh bows.

I found the berry sprays at Michael's one year after Christmas when they were marked down to practically nothing (that's one of my best hacks for saving money on craft supplies. Yes, it does require a little deferred gratification, but hey...Christmas comes around again nearly as soon as you blink your eyes, doesn't it?)

I also use a bright shiny ribbon - and this can be saved from year to year too.

I start by threading the ribbon through the top of the wreath.

Here's a first-time shortcut: Measure the ribbon against the ribbon used for the rest of the year to get the right length in an instant.

Then, begin sticking the pics into the body of the wreath. This one has a grapevine base, which makes it super easy to get them in, and they hold in place perfectly.

I insert the second pic, leaving a bit of a gap. It will close up once it's pushed all the way end.

It takes 6 pics to go around this 12" wreath.

With a separate length of ribbon, make a simple bow. I get much better results with wired ribbon. This one is really light, but even a light wire makes it so easy to shape a nice bow.

Finally, hot glue the bow onto the front of the hanger...

Then hang it back up!

Fast, simple, and no more plain wreath.

After Christmas I just remove the pics and ribbon, replace the white ribbon, and hang it back up for the rest of the winter.

Next year...5 minutes - tops!

I've added this wreath to a collection of 25 Quick and Easy DIY Christmas Wreaths on the blog.
