We had French doors up until Harvey. Now the opening is finished and moulding up around it. Opening is 49" by 80". would like to cover it--but at this point cant purchase french doors etc. Any ideas, it's in a very visible main hall? thanks!

Put a rod at top and do drapery. Very chic

Not sure this is an answer you might want but you can purchase an extension rod that will work for your opening and hang curtains until you get your doors.

You could put up a tension rod and hang a nice pair of drapes. That would be temporary until you can afford new french doors.

I'd use painters drop cloth type 'curtains' on a galvanized pipe for the 'industrial' look ... or if that doesn't work for your decor -- any heavy weight, solid color material and an attached curtain rod --- the tension rods are great if the curtains are not going to get moved back/forth a lot -- that much weight, and movement could possibly cause the tension rod to slip out of place.

Hello. You can find big tension rods on line to purchase made to hang curtains to separate rooms. You could also check and see if you have a local humane for humanity store. It is just like a good will but for home improvement items. Good Luck.
