How to Hide Jar Lid Writing??

I use glass jars for many items in the pantry. Here I used one written on metal lid to glue a hard treat cookie for our dog.

This one is a no brainer. I used craft glue to attach the biscuit over the jar writing on the lid. Once it dried, I applied Mod podge three times allowing each coat to dry well. I am hoping this works and the cookie does not crumble.
