Hi Shirley. I have kept them in the garage so they get cold and then as soon as the ground thawed planted them in spring, and they did come up. My brother puts his in the freezer and then plants in spring. Good Luck.

Plant smaller bulbs just as soon as the ground is no longer frozen. Here in North Texas, that can be late January to late February, but tulips and daffodils are up in a month. Happy holidays, ☺️

Agree with Freshcutky. If you can, plant now. I've planted even in late December but I'm in Zone 7. The bulbs may bloom a few weeks later than usual next yr but will get on the usual schedule after that.

Yes you can, but they may not bloom the first year after planting. I'd plant them when the ground is not frozen.

If the ground is not too frozen to dig you can plant/set them. If not keep in cardboard box in cool dry place then put in in spring. After Mother's Day is guide/rule for last ground freeze,so they might not bloom but will the next season.
