How do I remove Chalkboard paint from the walls?

Just paint over it

I'd sand it smooth, prime it with a good primer, then paint.

I would sand it off. Chalkboard paint is thick so you will see the raised outline of the old chalkboard paint, unless they painted the whole wall. If it is the whole wall just prime and paint.

If the texture is rough, i would lightly sand away that texture. But you should be able to just paint right over it.
