Mud Pie Station

After seeing a mud pie station on another blog, I set out to make one for our yard for next to nothing, reusing what I had or gathering supplies from garage sales, Dollar and thrift stores.
Complete with a business sign, it's a far cry from the cardboard box I used as a kid to make mud masterpieces.
I won this old work bench for $1.00 at an auction, and that became the base of the mud pie bench.
My husband broke it down and used the pieces that worked the best.
It didn't have to be pretty, just functional, so out came the DeWalt reciprocating saw to cut in where the round stainless steel bowls would fit.
I loaded it up with random kitchen utensils for making the best mud pies around.

The water jug holds clean water that the kids can use to sprinkle from the mini watering can.

Love this! I used to cook my mud pies in an old skillet in the sun and my little brother would eat them! Oh, the good ole days! We still laugh about it in my family and no harm came to my brother, he's still alive and well! :)
