I have a deck that used 2 be closed in by lattice under it-this is a space that we used for storage so it install enough we can walk into it. ( not a crawl space) the re ent ice/wind storm has destroyed the lattice.we want 2 close it in there is only dirt n mud under there. We also have groundhogs living under the actual house. Please help.we are on a fixed income also and need to figure out something cheap that doesn't look like it belongs in the ghetto/trailer park

We installed metal roofing material under the deck so no water drips down. We installed guttering at the end of the roofing material to have a more finished look.

Now we have a nice deck and a covered porch for use.

The porch this storage area is under is a covered porch/deck. Do u think it should still need the metal roofing beneath? a wooden deck....

H Cheryl, First get the Ground hogs to leave. Then Line the underside of the underside of the area to make water tight. Next think of covering in the area perimeter with Fencing Panels or maybe Old Pallets whilst making an entrance and exit by means of doors in an inconspicuous place. Finally, Stain Paint or finish to taste.

You could close it in with cedar fence boards. then make a door so you could still get under in case you want to store stuff there.
