Hi Diane. Easy-peesy. It's all in the prep.
Take your doors off the boxes.
Take all the hardware off too - hinges and handles/knobs.
Clean both doors and cabinet boxes with TSP. If TSP bothers you, use Barkeepers powder.
Rinse and dry -- WELL.
Wipe down with tack cloth.
Paint: 1. primer for plastic, 2. any quality acrylic, oil, or alkyd paint you want.
Done!
You need to take the thermafoil off, then treat it like wood, just sand and paint.
