How do I refinish a wall in a mini home with old barn boards?

I live in a mini home and the question for me is what kind of bar board thickness would work best and how would I secure them. The construction is not similar to a regular home. What weight would be supported?

Without seeing your home, I think as long as you can find the studs in the walls, you should be able to attach the boards no matter what thickness. The other option is glueing and nailing. I don't like to use glue because if you want to remove the planks later, it will be a mess.

Hi. Use quarter inch plywood cut into strips or vinyl flooring. The vinyl flooring works great and has adhesive strips that are an easy put up! Happy DIY'ing!

I would go with the vinyl flooring strips. Here is a project where someone did it that might help you with ideas. Better to err on the safe side since real wood can be so heavy.

The thinner the better, less weight and won't take away from any interior footage inches being lost. Meaning if the boards are 2' thick and you have them on all 4 walls you'll loose 8" space. Since it's a tiny home it may matter. You would need to predrill barn boards to keep them from splitting and then depending if your attaching to already existing wall(drywall,MDF,plywood) or directly to studs(wood, metal) you'll need to figure out best screws to use for materials.
