How do you store about 25 pairs of shoes in a very small space?
I am currently staying at my mother's home and have very little space for my items. I have about 25 pairs of shoes and am struggling to find a way to keep them out of the way. I currently have a metal rack hanging over the door that has horizontal poles to sit them on. The only problem with that is that everytime I open or close my door, the shoes move and fall to the floor. I am constantly picking up shoes. The only space I have is the door and a wall right outside in the hallway that is about 40 inches wide. I have to walk by that area to get into the room. Do you have any suggestions that are also cost-effective?

Hi there! I'm thinking what might work better than a rack is one of these plastic organizers? I'm trying to attach a photo of what I'm thinking of but its not working so here's a link lol http://everydayoriginals.com/2012/01/25/over-the-door-closet-storage/
Get some baking sheets and place them on the baking sheet and slide under your bed. Would that work? How about a collapsible cube or ottoman? Then when you move, it folds down flat into the lid. I have a bunch of them, also they serve as seating.
Get the hanging shoe bag. They have pockets for your shoes and they don't fall out. I have had mine now for at least 15 years, have no idea where I get it. Maybe Google over the door shoe pocket holder?
I would create under the bed storage! That is the perfect height for shoes.
I love these!
