Do the plants that are called air plants need dirt? Water?
No dirt, but does need to be watered every couple of weeks or so, depending upon ho much humidity is in your climate.
Just misted with spray bottle every 10-14 days maybe more if your in low desert in summer
I put mine in some large seashells, no dirt. I mist them with water once a week and they're happy!
Aren’t they amazing? Most often they are found attached to other plants, but air plants need so few nutrients you can drop them in tiny vases or spaces. Misting them with water and keeping them from freezing is about all they need to live for a long time. They may grow a little, and can be reset at any time. Best wishes ☺️
