Contact your cable provider, they do wonders.

You can often find the universal remotes at the Dollar store. They work, we have had a couple for several years now.

Are you sure it is the remote? If the green light comes on with no picture it may even be a problem with the TV. You can get universal remotes that will work with your TV. Go to somewhere like Best Buy that has a good selection of them, it should say on the packaging what brands they work with, also the associates can help you get the right remote for your TV. Call RCA if a new remote doesn't change the situation, they may be able to tell you what the problem is and if it can be fixed. We always get our electronics and even appliances at Best Buy, they have really good warranties you can purchase and they really stand by their products. We had a Flat screen TV that was getting funky cloudy spots forming on the top of the screen and started spreading down. We called Best Buy, did a couple of tests over the phone to try to fix it and when they didn't fix it they replaced it. They no longer made the 3D TV we had, so they delivered a TV comparative to the one we had without the 3D and took us from a 55 inch to a 65 inch to make up for the difference. I hope a new remote does the trick for you!

Are you sure that there is power at the Electrical outlet. If this is ,turn TV on with the Power button on the TV. If this doesn't work it may be the Power supply inside the TV. You can Find a You Tube Video that will show you how to replace the Power supply. It is really not that hard to do.

I continuously loose my remote for my Roku smart tv. I checked for an app for Ruko and got one to download on my phone. Maybe there is an app for RCA as well. It looks exactly like the actual remote control and the screen on the phone works perfectly without having to buy anything. Then the app is added to your home screen to use just like a traditional remote.
