How can I make my washer and dryer work in my dining room?

My kitchen opens into a dining room and it would be lovely if my washer and dryer weren't in the dining area. I don't know how to make it work.

Hello Whitney, I have had floorplans where the washer and dryer were behind bifold doors in the eating area off the kitchen. Would it be possible to screen off the laundry area?

Ideally you could hide them behind doors. But that’s a lot of work! Could you run a curtain across to cover them?

What about a folding screen? It would be very handy to use the W and D as a serving table with company (covered with a nice table cloth

I think the folding screen is a great idea, you can decorate it to go with the décor of the living room. Strange place to put a washer and dryer!

That 'screening' idea sounds great. Is where they are located where building a permanent enclosure for them would work for the space they are in, such as a divider between kitchen and dining area or like the lady said-- just cover them and treat them as a buffet. Or you could build some 'nice' removable - fasten together enclosure for when they are not in use.... wow, good luck.
