Hi Bob. Boy, I had this chore. It was a great idea from the previous owner but I couldn't stand the blue effect when I looked out. I used marine paint remover. It was the only thing I could find that would work. The hardware store products just didn't take off this very thick film. If you go this route, wear gloves, old clothes and ventilate the room well. Good luck!

It all depends on the method by which the tint was applied. The tint is often glued to the glass, so you can remove it; just peel the tint off the corner and gradually peel the whole thing off. I used to drive with high-level tint, and the officer made me take it off and pay a hefty fine. Now I have given up the tinting. And to combat the heat, I use a special curtain that I bought here https://snapshades.com.au/car-sun-protection-for-infants/; it does a great job. Now my baby feels comfortable in the back seats.
