What can I make with Patron Tequila bottles and or their corks?
I've got a bunch of the 700 ml square shaped bottles with their round corks. Need ideas as they are sitting around waiting for me to come up with something.
My friend used to make bottle cap necklaces. She punched a hole in the side of the bottle cap and attached a little eyelet. Then filled the inside of the bottle cap with epoxy. She also cut a small circle of fabric and glued that to the back of the cap if it was ugly... but I like the original look of vintage caps. Then strung it on a ribbon. Inside the bottle cap before she filled it with epoxy, she put in letters. The idea was to make different names in several caps combined.
You can use them to make a unique table top or serving tray out of an old one. You would finish with epoxy to make it durable.

one idea, glue in the bottom of empty glass jars, and use as a candle holder. (drip some wax from a lit candle in the bottle cap and then blow it out, and stick the candle in the hot wax. Not using a lot of your caps, but an idea for a few....and can use for an emergency or patio...etc. Another idea: drill hole or glue string in cap and make "wind chimes"...
This idea had been around a long time, but I remember in the 1950s that every home I was in had a trivet made from clean bottle tops. Each trivet was crocheted around and then to more bottle caps. Some were perfectly formed like a bunch of grapes or cherries, and they usually were hung on a kitchen wall. Others were even larger and really were used for hot pans and dishes. They might be scorched on top, but they never seemed to rust. Art and utility in the same product. I did a bad one, using only the chain stitch, because that was all I knew, but I remember I used 24 bottle caps to make a square. My mother let us use it in the kitchen until it “got lost in moving.” I hope you find something to make that will make you proud. Best wishes! ☺️
