Dec 10, 2018 - Soak a clean, soft rag in mineral spirits. Wipe the cloudy area with the cloth, using long strokes that match the grain of the wood. The wax finish should start to look hazy and dull as it is being removed. Work in small sections if there is a large area of cloudiness to be removed.
I appreciate you trying to help. It is vintage and I will not Refinish it. A master in wood work gave me some ideas to try that won't do harm. But thank you.
We had that with a piece of furniture, had to have it refinished.
I assume moisture got into the finish. Did you apply the finish or was it existing?
