Deanna your question made me wonder why cat proof?

I have a material type curtain with no liner.

Can you shut the door to the bathroom to keep kitty out? Unless the litter pan is in there.

Hi. I'm assuming the cat is ripping the liner to shreds. First, cut claws. Buy new liner and put scratching post where the cat was attacking the worst. Good luck!

I'm trying a fabric one next. That was the second one she's shredded, it was extra thick vinyl

You could try wiping the liner with rosemary or orange scented sprays, which cats dislike.

Cat proof? Is it spraying on the shower curtain. My sister had a problem with her cat pooping on the bathroom floor. Easiest solution - close the bathroom door. Problem solved.

She doesn't spray, though some females can and do.

This is the second one she's shredded. It was of extra thick vinyl.

Ok thinking outside the littler box here. Lol.

Can you keep a tiny bit of water in the bottom of the tub? If they are going inside they will be surprised and jump out hopefully.

It may take a bit to retrain them to not go in there.

They would most likely kill a material one too.

It appeared they may be climbing in on the shower chair. Since the rip is there, and if you don’t want to put water in the tub, place a cookie sheet with water in it on the shower chair. When she jumps she will get wet and go away from there. Hopefully, it’s that easy

    Hi Deana,

Has me wondering why cat proof too.

It makes more sense to just shut the door.

If the cat goes in the bathroom and tears the curtain/liner, you could use a command strip to hold up your curtain so the cat can't get to it.

Either move the litter box out or just flip the curtain and liner up over the rod.

What we do is attach a clothes pin to the bottom center (approximately) of the shower curtain liner and then attach the clothes pin that has the liner in it to a clip. The clip is then attached to the wall by a suction cup (dollar store), or any hanging object. It helps the shower curtain drip dry too. This will be out of kitty's reach.

use a coated plastic coat hanger

push curtain together like accordion slide curtain thru hanger

and attach to shower rod. Too high

For cat to reach. To use again simply remove curtain from hanger

let fall down ready to use again
