Here's many great ideas, Lavonne. Looks like I could use some myself.
Add extra open shelves
Lavonne! There are so many great ideas posted here above! I have an old tin from my grandmother that is flat and fits right over my stove burners and I use that for extra cutting space or food buffet when I entertain. And another thing I have done is I added a shelf over my sink (you can even buy them too (Amazon). It fits right under my window above my sink. And I found shelving units at a garage sale that fit right under my cabinets for extra space! I also got a roll out buffet type cart/table (Amazon) that I can use for extra counter space, preparation space (I got one with a top that you can chop on). Also see below for ideas. Good luck to you and I hope your holidays are wonderful!
Think vertical. Purchase or make shelving systems that make more use of vertical space beneath your countertops; use crates, baskets, hangers, pegs, hooks, etc.
Put an extension rod across the cabinet under the sink. Takes maybe 5 min and you can hang tons of stuff on that rod using s hooks or shower curtain hooks.
