How can I come up with a solution for my garden hose?
The first floppy hose I thought would be good kinks up all the time. the second one is stiff and though the idea is good, it has wee holes for the water to seep out along the ground It is very stiff and round. However the gardener comes along on his ride mower and has to get off his machine to chuck to hose aside to get past and throws in onto another part of the garden.I am 85 years old and cannot put up with all the hassle. Can any of your readers think of a solution.

First your gardener needs to replace what he moves. If he or she doesn't- time to remind them you are 85 and paying for their "services" - if they don't want to do as you ask, start looking for another garden service. That drives me nuts too. I fired a few so called gardeners just for being lazy and sloppy.
Hi, Annabelle,
If you need to water your lawn, you may be better off with an impact propeller style sprinkler that attaches to your hose. You can set the distance you wish the hose to cover, and the "pattern".
Any hose in your yard will need to be moved by your gardener, but you may have to insist he carry it to the side of your house prior to cutting grass, and replace it before he leaves.
Hoses with the holes are typically buried slightly beneath ground level, or at least under black plastic, to prevent rapid evaporation.
Ideally, were it not for the cost, your yard would benefit from a pop up sprinkler system, with a timer.
we use a hose reel that reels up the hose after use and keeps it from kinking up
Thanks everyone who answered my hose problem
