How do I find an outlet adapter that senses light?

Well I have lights like that that are emergency night light type plug ins. Dusk to dawn, they come on when the room gets dark, and turn off when the room gets light. I have a few placed in public rooms in the house and in each of the bathrooms. Mine act as a flashlight, as when you take them out of the outlet you can use them for a couple hours before they need recharging. They are not fancy and utilitarian, not decorative. They might have something that you describe, but I have never searched for anything and not sure what term(s) to use to search. Try: "decorative dusk to dawn lights" or "dusk to dawn decorative nightlights" and see what comes up?

We have just that. Sold at Home Depot, it's a type of timer but there's a sensor setting for for dusk til dawn that senses the light, not timed.

Have you heard of solar powered lights? The sun charges them all day, then at night they come on......when the light hits them in the morning, they switch off, then the sun charges them again....so on and so forth

You could also use a timer.

Wasn't sure they would work but sure enough, it gets dark and it goes on. Not sure this is what you meant though..maybe there's something similar to that for fairy lights. I put a very short line of lights on a small tree my kids made. The box in the picture looks like what I have, onky different lights.

It turns on and off by itself, which, I didn't know who was doing it. Turns out, it does it automatically. Freaked me out lol

My youngest says we have a ghost because things go missing..true? Maybe lived ones are trying to communicate..hmmmmm

Or you could just put a timer in the outlet and plug the lights into that.
