Dee,. Try spraying with vinegar, let sit a few minutes, then scrub with a sponge that has two sides. Use the scratchy side. Squirt a little dish soap or shampoo, and scrub, it should come off. If you get it real clean, wipe it down with furniture polish. The water will not stick to oil. Aloha!

I use a bunch of used fabric softener sheets and a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. For heavy deposits use straight vinegar no water. The remaining softener in the sheet will also slow down the build up.

Spray bottle, 3/4 white vinegar,1 table spoon baking soda, 3 drops blue dawn dish soap. Spray all, wait 30 minutes, rinse. Easy pezy.
