How can I make a small ramp for our doxie?

Roxie, our doxie, needs a small inexpensive rwmp from our bed to the floor. Needed to prevent jumping off the bed.

if she is small, you can make steps out of graduated cardboard boxes and duck tape. get the colored tape. make it stripey.

We got a small set of plastic pet stairs at Walmart. The reason we went with those instead of a ramp is because being heavy plastic they are washable and much lighter in weight then a ramp. They can be moved easily also. They cost about $25 which is not a bad price considering how much a ramp would cost.

the photo with the slatted boxes ... I'd cut carpet to cover the tops ... prevent toenails or paw pads getting caught between the slats ...

I took a long board and screwed a lip on it that would become the away from the bed side of the ramp. I glued cut up pieces if a kitchen rug so my dog wouldn't slip and also glued pieces of rope every so often in to the rugged surface. I wedged the ramp beside the bed, between the wall and the edge of a chest. Then to keep the ramp from "bouncing" up and down as my dog used it, I put a storage box under the ramp right where the ramp would rest on the top. Recently I upholstered my ramp as my dog it getting old and I wanted a softer landing should she slip on it.
