I use comet and a scrub brush. You can also buy the clorox wand. They work, but very exoensive.
I like Lysol's Lime and Rust cleaner. It helps with stains from hard water.

Push most of the water out, fill with plain white vinegar up past hard water lines, let sit at least overnight if possible, use Scotchbrite scouring pad to scrub toilet or pumice stick from hardware store. Wear rubber gloves. For faucets, use zip-lock baggie with white vinegar to cover the faucet, dampen paper towels with vinegar and wrap all other areas with plastic to keep them damp. Let sit overnight. Vinegar loosens or removes almost ALL hard water deposits AND it's cheap.
