Hi Alice. I'm Cindy. Put 2 cups of water in medium bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. Soak a clean cloth in this water. Squeeze the cloth until it is just damp. Put it on top of the stain and blot up the choc milk. Continue soaking and squeezing and blotting until the stain is gone. Blot, don't rub. Good luck Alice and Happy Holidays.
I would pour club soda on it and blot with paper towels. Then scrub with an oxygenated cleaner like OxyClean or Awesome Orange (my favorite) and water with a soft t-shirt until the spot and smell are gone.
If the milk is still damp, use paper towels to blot it up. Then dampen a sponge in a quart of water with 1/2 cup of white vinegar. The vinegar with help remove the milk fat from the carpet and neutralize the odor from spoiled milk. Squeeze out the sponge, then place the sponge over the spill, and rub the water and vinegar over the spill. Use a dry sponge to soak up the water, and start again. Gum, candy, wine, soda and such require a detergent like Dawn. Many stains are dried by sprinkling baking soda over the stain, the vacuuming the area. But milk takes that vinegar step. I hope this method, or another, gets that stain out for you. Blessings! 🤶🏻
I use a bit of rubbing alcohol on any stain containing remnants of food, doggie accidents, or things of nature. The rubbing alcohol tends to aid in drying, helps me see spots I'm missing. I just spritz a bit on as the last step and blot with a white rag or towel. Good luck!
