How can I fill a gap between the wall and floor?

Just had floors put in but there’s some gaps.. should I fill in with wood filler to match floor (floors are vinyl) or caulk.. the first pic is where I tried caulking.
Terrible looking job. The door trim should have been undercut so the flooring slips right in. Wood filler will eventually pop out as the flooring moves with temp changes. Caulking looks like an amateur job. Best solution is put in a low threshold in the doorway.

I think that you need some small pieces of molding. If you used a piece that is narrow to line up with the quarter round that is there, you could then use caulking or wood putty to fill in any gaps.
And the flooring company did not finish off for what reason? Sorry, but this is an incomplete installation. Call them back to come finish the job correctly. They should at least supply quarter round.
I assume this is a floating floor. Floating floors are laid with a 1" gap from the wall. The base molding is removed prior to laying the floor.
Once the floor is laid, the base molding is reinstalled. It will cover the 1" gap from the wall. If the gap is not completely covered, then install some quarter round or shoe molding to the base molding.

Base molding should cover the gaps and if it doesn't hopefully a little of the flooring left over cut to fill in the widest gaps and then put the molding over it. It looks like it will be a beautiful floor when all is done.
Use baseboard. They have a PVC type that is cheaper. Cut smallest pieces first and can fill small gaps with wood putty or caulk then pant baseboards.
Trim boards, i.e., baseboards, crown molding, and window framed always enhances the room and property value if property owner. Also, those small details are quite simple with this program or YouTube. I always paint my trim with oil base gloss white ( yes oil base) because it will last much longer and the oilbase give the white the perfect look. Just make sure area is clean and vacuum prior to painting as it takes about 8 hrs to dry and you don’t want dirt in your paint. End results are well worth the extra effort.
Shoe Molding would be a great fix
